Malaga' Tradeshow and Congress Centre (FYCMA) now has a total of five certifications for quality tourism, accessibility, data security and management systems.
These acknowledgments are the result of the centre’s steady commitment to providing its clients with the highest possible level of quality, and to constantly improving its services. At present, the groundwork is being laid to initiate the process to obtain the ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality and environmental management certifications this coming December.
In 2007, the centre obtained the quality certification from the Spanish Tradeshow Association (AFE), on fulfilling all the quality management system requirements for tradeshows.
The Integral Spanish Tourism Quality System for Destinations (SICTED) was obtained by the centre last December, with which it contributes to making Malaga a quality tourist destination.
At the beginning of the year, the Spanish Quality Tourism Institute (ICTE) awarded the centre the “Q” for quality tourism, which certifies rigorously and objectively that FYCMA is committed to constantly improving the services that its provides.
FYCMA was also the second national convention centre – and the first in Andalusia – to obtain the UNE 170001:2007 Global Accessibility Standard, certifying that the centre fulfils all the requirements for ensuring that its services and facilities are fully accessible to the handicapped and people with mobility problems.
Last September, FYCMA obtained the Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification, in accordance with the UNE-ISO/IEC 27001:2007 standard, for information systems supporting event and tradeshow marketing, planning and preparation processes.
