Malaga Gives Boost to Language Tourism

Live Spanish in Malaga, a project geared to promoting language tourism, was presented on 4 January. The initiative also includes the creation of a language product club.



The chief aim of Live Spanish in Malaga is to break with the current seasonality of language tourism, which is usually concentrated in the summer months, as well as increasing the number of tourists and average spending.



Presented on 4 January in the capital of the Costa del Sol, this initiative also contemplates the creation of a language product club comprising public and private sector actors. With an annual budget of EUR 185,895, the idea is to market the segment at international tourism tradeshows in Germany, France, the UK, Holland, Poland and Sweden, in addition to participating in workshops in Germany, Canada and China, among other promotional and marketing activities.
