Madrid and Moscow to Sign Agreement Aimed at Mutually Driving Tourism

The Spanish capital received over eight million tourists last year.



The initiative comes after the Mayoress of Madrid, Ana Botella, visited Moscow with the aim of promoting tourism and attracting investors, in addition to defending the Spanish capital’s bid to host the 2020 Olympic Games.



The Mayor of Madrid, Sergey Sobyanin, who was receptive to the proposal put forward by his Madrid counterpart, stated that the capital of the Russian Federation would try to tap into the Spanish capital’s experience, above all regarding infrastructures, with the aim of implementing its ambitious plans for growth and development.
