The enchanting Swiss city of Lugano has been chosen as the venue for the 1st edition of MeetingLuxury, a unique international event dedicated exclusively to luxury travel and tourism. From 4-6 February 2009, destinations, venues and service providers from all over the world will be showcasing their products and services before a select group of international buyers, VIPs, celebrity visitors and specialised media representatives.
Organised by Promax Communication, a company with over 12 years experience in communications and the tourist industry, MeetingLuxury is due to be held next February at the Lugano Exhibition Centre, which boasts 12,000m2 of facilities overlooking the Lake of Lugano. For the occasion, the centre will be totally covered by a temporary installation designed by Mario Botta, the internationally renowned Swiss architect.
During three days, a select group of international hosted buyers, including meetings and event professionals, luxury travel agencies and incentive houses, will be able to do business in this incomparable setting with exhibitors representing exclusive hotels and resorts, exotic destinations and the best in services, thanks to the event’s networking opportunities and its programme of pre-arranged appointments. In addition, 60 handpicked destinations will be competing in six categories of the event’s Luxury Tourism Awards.
