The 2006 edition of the WTM, to be held between 6-9 November at London’s ExCeL, will bring together buyers and sellers from over 200 countries, representing every sector of the industry. Organised by Reed Travel Exhibitions, the event has become a benchmark for the travel industry.

2005 was a year for the record books

Last year’s edition of the WTM attracted a record-breaking 48,211 travel industry professionals representing 202 countries and regions, just over half of which were from the UK, including 5,602 exhibiting companies and 622 main stand holders.

Four-day programme

Following the event’s inauguration on Monday 6 November, the second day, under the theme of meetings, conference and incentive travel, will include two stage events dedicated to the hotel and airline sectors, supported by a seminar programme focusing on the UK event industry.

Wednesday 8 November will be devoted to Responsible Tourism, an issue that has been on the WTM agenda since 1995. All sectors of the travel and tourist industry will be invited to discuss and debate the major issues affecting sustainability and the industry’s future.
