The Congress Centre of Canaries – Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, in collaboration with the Gran Canaria Convention Bureau, has recently submitted a bid for hosting this important association meeting in March 2012.
The Annual Meeting of the Iberian Chapter of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) is held on alternate years in Portugal and Spain. The meeting is attended by a large number of executives of associations responsible for planning future meetings, and ICCA members, including congress centres, convention bureau, press, etc.
The Congress Centre of Canaries – Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, in collaboration with the Gran Canaria Convention Bureau, submitted a bid to host this important event during this year's meeting of the Iberian Chapter of ICCA, which was held in Estoril (Portugal) during the second week of March. The hosting of this important national event, scheduled to be held in March 2012, forms a part of the programme implemented by the Congress Centre of Canaries – Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, in support of the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria's bid to become European Capital of Culture 2016.
Parallel to this event, a number of workshops have been programmed in which each member invites a representative of a national or international association with decision-making powers as regards the choice of future congress venues, which will undoubtedly offer Las Palmas de Gran Canaria a unique opportunity to position itself in the association meetings market.
