Lamar de Eventos was the PCO chosen to manage the technical secretariat of the 2nd edition of the Euro Arab Forum, which took place at Malaga Tradeshow and Congress Centre from 25-26 February.
Under the slogan "Cooperation experiences and prospects for facing common challenges", the characteristics and objectives of this international forum make it unique in the world. Held alternately at a European and Arab destination every three years, the 1st edition of this forum was hosted by Dubai in 2008.
Attendees at the 2nd edition hosted by Malaga included mayors and senior officials of the main European and Arab cities, as well as senior representatives of the most important international organizations such as the Arab Towns Organization (ATO), the Standing Committee for the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership of Local and Regional Authorities (COPPEM), the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), the Arab League, the European Investment Bank, the United National Development Programme and the UNO, among others, featuring the presence of Jorge Sampaio, ex-President of Portugal and UN High Commissioner, and the vice-presidents of the European Bank, Magdalena Alvarez Arza and Philippe de Fontaine Vive.
With six official languages (Spanish, English, French, Arabic, Turkish and Italian), the forum was attended by 300 delegates from 30 countries, including France, Italy, Kuwait, UAE, Greece, Lebanon, Palestine, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, Somalia, Jordan, Syria and Spain, among others.
Lamar de Eventos was commissioned to manage the forum's technical secretariat, including online registration, receiving delegates, supervising the event at the main venue and additional venues used for the social programme – gala dinner and official reception – as well as coordinating the arrival of delegates and authorities, assembly tasks, graphic design, etc.
