The first prize of €4,000 was awarded by the Mayoress of Marbella, Angeles Muñoz, in the PYR Marbella Hotel's Puerto Banus Function Room.
The 11th edition of the City of Marbella Story Competition Awards Ceremony was attended by Princess Marie-Louise Schonburg, accompanied by her husband Count Rudi, the ex-tennis player Manolo Santana, the entrepreneurs Miguel Gomez y Molina and Remedios del Rio, and the famous restaurateur Santiago, among others.
For the last 11 years, the Jose Banus Masdeu y Pilar Calvo y Sanchez de Leon Foundation has sponsored the City of Marbella Story Competition, with a first prize of €4,000, a second prize of €2,000, and a Children's Story prize of €2,000.
The winners of the 11th edition are as follows:
1st Prize of €4,000 Manuscrito encontrado en Granada, by Raul Francisco Perez Tort Velez.
2nd Prize of €2,000: El Malentendido, by Jose Juan Represa de la Guerra.
Children's Story Prize of €2,000: El muy romántico oficio de golondrina, byJack Babiloni (the author's nom de plume).
Located in Puerto Banus, the PYR Marbella Hotel was chosen by the foundation to host the awards ceremony, which was attended by a number of important personalities and some of the town's most outstanding entrepreneurs. Over 100 people attended the event, which ended with drinks and canapés served by the hotel.
