The trip to El Ejido, which took place on 16 April, was organized as part of the agritourism programme launched by the town council.
On 16 April, a group of 20 German agronomists visited El Ejido, a trip organized by INDIGO DMC Group, an agency specializing in agritourism, permaculture tours, and theme trips. It was the third visit by agronomists organized within the framework of the agritourism programme launched at the beginning of the year by El Ejido Town Council’s tourism department.
This agritourism programme is the result of the negotiations carried out by the Town Council with several tour operators specializing in theme trips to quality destinations at FITUR, held in Madrid at the beginning of the year.
During the trip, the German group got to know firsthand the area’s agricultural production system with guided tours of Las Palmerillas Experimental Centre and Clisol Agro Farm, before being treated to lunch including the most representative dishes of the region’s Mediterranean cuisine, elaborated with local produce.
