The international capacity of IFEMA as a major event venue is currently being reinforced. After the staging of 2014 edition in Madrid, IFEMA will yet again host the ESMO 2017 Congress. This event organized by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), in collaboration with the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), is one of the most prestigious and influential in this medical specialty at an international level. It will be held in Madrid from 8-12 September 2017.
ESMO 2017 will be attended by 20,000 professionals, including scientists, researchers, and clinical professionals in the field of oncology, in order to facilitate interaction and knowledge exchange. One of its objectives is to contribute to bridge the gap between research innovation and clinical practice, thus obtaining better result in cancer treatments.
