The Iberian Chapter of ICCA is collaborating in the organization of the event Connections Meetings, scheduled to be held from 9-12 December 2015 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lisboa Fontana Park and the Conrad Algarve.

Francisco Quereda, chapter president and director of the Malaga Convention Bureau, will be attending the event, which will facilitate face-to-face meeting between 30-40 MICE suppliers and the same number of hand-picked buyers.

In the words of its organizers, Connectiones Meetings “revolutionizes supplier/buyer contacts” going beyond traditional formats so as ensure “that the participants, suppliers and buyers alike, share new experiences based on meeting design principles.”

According to the director of Connections Micaela Giacobbe, the event’s programme – in which the meeting design guru Mike Van der Vijver has collaborated – is geared to forging links between the participants on the basis of a series of shared experiences that generate emotions, whether during lunches or dinners, or in a large variety of group activities, from a stroll through the centre of Lisbon to an activity at the Beer Musuem, through a learning session during the three-hour train journey from Lisbon to Faro (Algarve), etc. The main objective is to reinforce mutual confidence through positive experiences; all of which finally improves future business expectations.
