Organized by Gran Hotel Turismo magazine, the Iniciativa Hotelera Awards acknowledge the contribution of hotels and hoteliers to an ever-changing industry.
On 16 October, H10 Hotels received the Best Hotel Chain Award 2014 at the Iniciativa Hotelera Awards ceremony, organized by Gran Hotel Turismo magazine. The jury, comprising key representatives from the tourist industry and media, chose H10 Hotels from a list of finalists representing Spain’s top hotel chains.
Gemma Espelt, marketing director at H10 Hotels, was the person chosen to collect the award at the ceremony, held at the Roca Barcelona Gallery, which was attended by around 200 people, including politicians and representatives of the hotel, tourist, hospitality and media industries.
H10 Hotels currently has 45 properties in 16 leading destinations, totalling 12,000 rooms. This acknowledgement is based on the effort that the chain has made to enlarge its property portfolio, since the number of hotels it currently manages has increased considerably over the last few years. Specifically, since 2010 the chain’s properties has jumped from 35-45, with opening of new hotels in London, Berlin, Barcelona, Mallorca and Cuba.
Furthermore, H10 Hotels has also based its strategy on the refurbishment of its flagship properties, through its partnership with the well-known architects and interior decorators Lazaro Rosa-Violan and GCA Arquitectos, among others. These properties include the following: the H10 Catalunya Plaza and H10 Montcada in Barcelona; the H10 Sentido White Suites and H10 Timanfaya Palace on Lanzarote; the H10 Sentido Playa Esmeralda on Fuerteventura; the H10 Conquistador and H10 Big Sur on Tenerife, and the H10 Delfin and H10 Vintage Salou on the Costa Dorada.
Likewise, H10 Hotels main asset is its human capital, with a team of 5,000 professionals that strive daily to offer guest the very best service. This award acknowledges their work and will undoubtedly encourage them to keep up the good work.
