Since being created in 1998, the Granada Tourism Prestige Awards have widened their scope to include the Honour Prize and, in the last edition, the International Prestige Prize.

Nobody wanted to miss this year’s award ceremony which, as in previous years, coincided with the celebration of St Mary’s Day, the hospitality industry’s patron saint. The ceremony was held at the Chumbera Auditorium, with the Alhambra as a spectacular backdrop.

The award winners were as follows: La Cueva de 1900 in the "Bar and restaurant" category; the Villa Oniria Hotel in the "Hotel" category; and the Dauro Grouo in the "Hotel chain" category. Furthermore, the Tourism Professional Prize was awarded to Mª Pilar López Moreno, for her long track record as a professional congress organizer, while the International Music and Dance Festival and Loewe picked up the Honour Prize and the International Prestige Prize, respectively.
