As in previous years, the Gran Melia Don Pepe Hotel (Marbella) has launched its Christmas toy donation campaign, ending on 30 December. All the toys will be donated to the Red Cross Voluntary Workers’ Association of Malaga.
All those who wish to collaborate in this charity initiative can leave their toys below the Christmas tree located in the lobby of the Gran Melia Don Pepe. Toys should promote equality, as well as cooperation, peace and a healthy relationship between girls and boys.
"This initiative of our hotel is meant to be a small gesture whose aim is to help make Christmas for disadvantaged children, whatever may be the cause, a happier time," explained Saad Azzam, manager of the Gran Melia Don Pepe. The toys will be distributed to children from families at risk of social exclusion in Malaga and Marbella and to children at the association’s immigrant centres which give shelter to refugees.
Coinciding with the anniversary of "Welcome to Marbella," the exclusive networking events for the town’s visitors and resident VIPs , all the guests should bring along a toy, in addition to providing the password provided by the luxury TV channel Theresa Bernabe TV, so as to ensure that all homes receive a visit from Father Christmas this year.
