After five months of improvements, this beachfront hotel complex located in the centre of Marbella received its first guests on 10 April.

On 10 April, the Fuerte Miramar reopened after five months of improvements representing an investment of €6,000,000. The property’s revamped architecture and décor are based on the new Amàre Club concept, designed with an eye to offering exclusive services to demanding adults (couples, singles and groups) who want to disconnect, relax and enjoy themselves next to the sea in the centre of Marbella. This new concept has involved the creation of unique spaces that "make it difficult to distinguish where the hotel ends and the beach begins," in the words of Jose Luque, general manager of Fuerte Hoteles.

Amàre Club has involved the creation of a comfortable area comprising three modern spaces – Amàre Lounge, Amàre Beach and Amàre Pool – combining a pool, solarium, lounge, beach restaurant, and a spacious area with sunbeds and daybeds, offering music and select cuisine, with the aim of providing guests with a range of top quality services designed for relaxation, pleasure and enjoyment in select, modern surroundings.

Inspired by this concept, the property’s façade now features a modern design and exterior LED lighting both under the eaves and on the main façade of the tower. The property’s existing rooms have been redecorated and an additional 10 have been created from scratch. Furthermore, the hotel’s communal areas have been revamped with the aim of creating more diaphanous spaces and providing outdoor services, featuring glazed railings so that guests can enjoy uninterrupted views of the sea – a panoramic view of the Mediterranean also afforded by the Belvue Rooftop Bar, the first of its kind in the centre of Marbella. Other improvements include a new lobby, the Mare Nostrum restaurant featuring a spacious outdoor terrace, the opening of the Germaine de Capuccini Spa and the Gym by Techogym.

With all these improvements, Fuerte Hoteles intends to target adults, thus following a booming trend in the tourist industry geared to differentiation by specializing in the increasingly more demanding couples, singles and group niches, guests usually in their 30s with grownup children or without children, who want to enjoy a peaceful and exclusive break so as to disconnect. These properties recommended for adults generate value added and improve a destination’s offerings, in line with Fuerte Hoteles’s strategy based on responsible tourism, promoting the Marbella brand and local tourism and commerce.
