The TUI Environmental Champion Prize is an award that the prestigious European tour operator TUI gives to hotels gearing their business philosophy towards sustainable management and committed to environmental protection and CSR.
After having thoroughly analyzed the steps taken, together with an in situ inspection trip during which TUI’s auditors checked the implementation of these sustainable measures, the Fuerte Conil Hotel has been ranked as the world’s 6th best property as regards environmental management, this being the 10th year in a row that the hotel has received this award.
In addition, the Fuerte Rompido Suites Hotel has also been ranked among the top 100 properties, occupying the 28th place.
The award acknowledges the efforts made by hotels to respect and protect the environment and also to implement effective CSR strategies.
These awards highlight once again the efforts made by the Fuerte Hoteles chain to contribute to environmental preservation. Its philosophy, based on the slogan "We look after people and the environment", focuses not only on the social and cultural development of the communities in which its hotels are located, but also on preserving the world’s natural heritage for future generations by means of a serious commitment to environmental protection.
