The Spanish Association of Congress Centres (APCE) is due to hold its fourth congress at Riojaforum, Rioja’s congress centre and auditorium, from 17-18 July 2008.
At this year’s edition, keynote speakers will include Jon Andoni Zarate, managing director of Human Management Systems, and lecturer of business studies and the Executive MBA programme at the University of Deusto, who will be presenting his vision of the congress industry’s current economic trends; and as one of the greatest experts in the field, Pedro Reinares, PhD in Economic Science and lecturer at the University of Rey Juan Carlos, will be giving a keynote on Congress Centre Communications Management.
With regard to the event’s business forums, Juan Carlos Alcalde, partner and associate director of TATUM (a consultancy and training firm specialising in marketing, business management and employee development), and one of Spain’s most important marketing consultants and sociologist with experience in over 120 companies, will be giving a keynote address on behavioural marketing.
In addition, the directors of the congress centres belonging to the association will discuss unfair competition, a subject of great interest to members since some centres do not charge for the use of their facilities in detriment to APCE members.
With regard to the technical agenda, in addition to addressing topical subjects such as sustainability and renewable energy sources as one of the challenges facing congress centres, their accessibility will also be discussed.
As in previous editions, APCE will be holding its prize-giving ceremony during the event. This year, the president of the Spanish Society of Neurology Eduardo Martinez will be picking up the award in recognition of the society’s habitual use of congress centres as meeting venues.
