Since opening in June 2012 until December 2013, Forum Evolucion Burgos has hosted 210 events with a total of 203,650 attendees.
Of the 210 events hosted by Forum Evolucion Burgos, 32% were cultural and 68% corporate (congresses, conferences, seminars, meetings and presentations, among others). The facility has hosted to date 21 congresses and conventions, five of which with more than 1,000 delegates and seven with 500 apiece, featuring the following: 10th National Congress of Insurance Agents and Brokers, the 6th National Congress of Public Libraries, the 3rd Latin American iRedes Congress, the 5th PAIME Congress, the National Congress of Virology, the 26th Federal Congress of MCA-UGT, and the 19th National Meeting of Surgery.
The overall economic impact generated by the facility’s activity during the aforementioned period is estimated at 9,402,288€. This represents nearly 10% of the cost of building, furbishing and equipping the facility (97€ million).
The extraordinary functionality and versatility of Forum Evolucion Burgos’ cutting-edge facilities, its excellent location in the city centre, close to monuments and attractions, as well as the city’s prime hotels and restaurants, in addition to Burgos’ opinion leaders who promote the city as a congress destination, have all contributed to the fact that the results have been much better than expected.
Previsions for the following months are also highly encouraging. To date, a total of 57 activities have been confirmed for 2014 onwards, 32 of which are congresses, meetings, seminars or presentations.
