Forum Evolucion has recently presented its balance sheet for 2016, with the best results since it was opened in 2012 with respect to three indicators: number of events, attendance figures, and economic impact for the city.
Last year marked the ultimate consolidation of Forum Evolucion as an event venue. With a total of 157 events, this represents a record 10% increase with respect to the year before. As regards delegates, the venue hosted 115,355, representing a 14% increase, bring the total over half a million since being opened.
Of all the events hosted in 2016, 73% were congresses, conventions, seminars, trade shows, meetings, etc., and 27% were cultural events. During the last financial year, the greatest activity was registered in the corporate (35%), cultural (28%), and scientific (17%) sectors.
The estimated economic impact of Forum Evolucion for the city of Burgos was €11,765,508.
On the subject of economic impact, it is important to mention the 23 national and international conventions and congresses hosted by Forum Evolucion, above all the National Congress of the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine with 2500 delegates, held in May 2016.
Summary of results since opening
From June 2012 to December 2016, Forum Evolucion has hosted 662 events with a total of 556,389 attendees and an economic impact of €31,305,923 for the city.
Agenda for 2017
Regarding the agenda for 2017, 41 events have already been confirmed and another 44 are in the pipeline.
These events include several congresses and conventions with over 1000 delegates, which will allow Forum Evolucion and Burgos to consolidate their position a high-capacity meeting and event destination, a result of the marketing campaigns that the former has run since opening.
