Representatives of Forum Evolucion and the Burgos Convention Bureau attended the annual congress of the European Federation of the Associations of Professional Congress Organizers (EFAPCO), held in Malaga from 17-18 January, one of the MICE industry’s most relevant events.
The congress serves as a meeting point for exchanging ideas and networking from a perspective of innovation and progress made in the MICE industry’s different sectors (cities, venues, apps, technology, sustainability, etc.) and their application to congress and event planning.
This and other promotional initiatives, which are currently being implemented, form a part of the marketing plan launched last year by the Burgos Convention Bureau and Forum Evolucion Burgos with an eye to promoting the city in the national and international MICE market throughput 2014.
Burgos has a number of tourist attractions unique in Spain, with a cultural and artistic heritage featuring three World Heritage Sites: the city’s gothic cathedral, the Way of St James, and the Atapuerca excavations.
Only five minutes walking distance from the historical centre is the Human Evolution Complex, designed by Juan Navarro Baldeweg, comprising the Museum of Human Evolution, the National Research Centre and the recently opened Forum Evolution Burgos Convention Centre and Auditorium.
The privileged geographical location of Burgos, a traditional crossroads, together with its extraordinary heritage, modern facilities, excellent choice of hotels, cultural agenda and MICE and hospitality-related services, and the warmth of the locales, make this city an ideal destination for congresses, conventions, incentive trips, and all types of meetings.
