The Firenze Card was launched by Florence on 25 March with the aim of making it easier for tourists to visit the city’s cultural venues and monuments.

The Firenze Card, which costs €50 and is valid 72 hours, includes free access to more than 30 museums, with no queues at all, and free use of public transport. It can be purchased directly at several museums and the tourist information office (piazza Stazione 4, via Cavour 1r), or online at www.firenzecard.it.

Regarding business tourism, a few months ago the Firenze Convention Bureau launched its Congress Card, a new service card allowing delegates to optimize their stay in Florence. Organizers of trade fairs and conferences now have the chance to offer their customers and delegates a specially customized Congress Card, downloadable for free and valid for their entire stay in Florence.

The card provides users access to discounts at museums, historical venues, shops, restaurants, wellness centers, golf clubs, bike rental stands, and car rental agencies. Other services at special rates include sightseeing tours, taxis, and airport transfers with a private driver. The Congress Card is not nominal and can be used by the participant as well as by anyone accompanying him or her. It is also valid a few days prior to and after the congress date.

Activating the Card is very easy: visit the FCB website (www.conventionbureau.it), select the event from the online calendar and, after a very quick registration process, download the card and print it together with the list of services.
