The event, which will be open to trade professionals from 30 January-1 February and to the general public from 2-3 February, will have 12 pavilions, totalling 100,000m2 of exhibition space. At this year’s edition, there will be 845 direct exhibitors, with the participation of 13,500 companies.

First-time exhibitors among the 170 countries present at the fair include Bhutan, Madagascar, Greenland, and the St Thomas and Prince Islands. Other destinations such as China, Switzerland and Austria will be the centre of attention because of the 29th Olympic Games and the 2008 European Cup, respectively, while Zaragoza’s stand will be drawing the crowds due to the 2008 of the Universal Exposition, which will open on the 14 June.

The fair will get underway in Toledo with the specialised event FITUR Congresses, to be held from 26-27 January, with the aim of showcasing the city as a meeting and event destination. As in previous years, the fair will also include the Meeting and Incentive Show (28-29 January), FITUR Active Tourism, FITUR Know-How, the Tourist Knowledge Show, and FITUR Residential Tourism.
