The Lagar de la Vereda, the first theme hotel revolving around Montilla-Moriles wine (Cordova), was officially opened a fortnight ago by Enrique Garrido, director of the Regulating Council of the Designation of Origin of Montilla-Moriles, and Manuel Lopez Alejandre, the council’s secretary.
Lagar de la Vereda
The Hotel Lagar de la Vereda is a private initiative promoted by the owners of Bodegas Cabriñana. The building housing the hotel is an 18th press house, located in the El Cerro Macho district of Montilla, an area producing the best Montilla wines.
Hotel facilities
The hotel has 11 rooms, accommodating a total of 25 guests, as well as a swimming pool and a sauna. Guests can tour the estate by horse-drawn coach or Land Rover, have breakfast at the neighbouring farm La Trinidad, and participate in a large number of activities related to grape harvesting and oenology.
