The Olympic Congress Centre and the Evenia Olympic Palace Hotel were the venues chosen to host this international congress, which was held from 29-30 November and attended by 300 professionals from different countries. The possibility of accommodating all the delegates under one roof, the staff’s experience in the MICE industry, and the area’s climate and cuisine all contributed to the event’s success.

Due the event’s multinational nature, conferences, workshops and training sessions were held in four languages so as to acquaint the attendees with new products, improvements in services and the operation of attractions, safety, regulation compliance, how to handle accidents, and the building of new attractions.

During the event, the first edition of the IAPC Innovations Awards 2012 was held. Four prizes were awarded in the following categories: products, design, research, and projects. At the end of the ceremony, there was a gala dinner with music and a flamenco show.

Thanks to the involvement and dedication of the attendees and Evenia’s staff, the congress was a resounding success. All those present were in favour of implementing the event’s conclusions, since it is essential to ensure consumers that they have chosen the best place to enjoy themselves.
