The congress will feature 50 international speakers from prominent companies and tourist destinations, such as Disneyland Paros, PortAventura, Capital of Children Legoland, Family Thyssen, TripAdvisor, Kinderhotels, and Pierre et Vacances, among others.
Organized by the Catalan Tourist Board (ACT) and the Tarragona provincial government’s tourist office, the 1st International Family Tourism Congress will be held at the PortAventura Convention Centre from 12-13 November, with attendance of 500 trade professionals. Family tourism is a strategic product for the industry’s future which can generate multiple opportunities for companies, institutions and agencies, as well as opening up new lines of business.
The 1st International Family Tourism Congress is supported by the World Tourism Organization (WTO), the State Secretariat for Tourism, and the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation (CEHAT).
