The Torrequebrada Hotel will be hosting the 5th Eurotour Costa del Sol, one of the foremost billiards pool tournaments in Europe, from 4-8 December. More than 2,000 people are expected to attend the event.
Juan Dominguez, president of the Spanish Pool Confederation (CEP) thanked the Town Council of Benalmadena for its collaboration and support in organizing and staging the tournament, which is scheduled to be held for the fifth year running at the Torrequebrada Hotel. “In past editions, we have been pressed for space, so this year we have had to bring forward the registration deadline because of the impossibility of accepting all the participants,” he explained.
Dominguez said that players from 40 countries would be participating in the tournament. “It is one of the most important fixtures on the professional circuit in Europe, and maybe the most important of Eurotour’s seven fixtures,” he stated. Along these lines, he stressed the fact that four world champions in different pool billiards categories would be participating together for the first time.
The municipalities Hotels have already registered 1,300 tournament-related bookings. This type of event helps hotels achieve higher occupancy rates during the winter.
