This year, Seville Conference and Exhibition Centre (FIBES) has served once again as the venue for European Union meetings, this time hosting the Informal Meeting of European Union Ministers for Energy and Environment from 14- 16 January, on the occasion of the Spanish Presidency of the European Union.
This Informal Meeting has been attended by the 27 ministers of the Member States of the European Union, both for Energy and Environment, so there were two important meetings included in one, divided into two working days.
Both FIBES and Seville have shown once again, with a wide logistical, organisational and security deployment, that they are fully prepared to host large-scale, internationally relevant events, such as the European Council Summit, held at FIBES in June 2002; the Informal Meeting of NATO Ministers of Defence in February 2007; and, now, this Informal Meeting of European Union Ministers for Energy and Environment.
In short, it was a decisive encounter in which important agreements were adopted, FIBES proving again to be the ideal venue for highly relevant meetings in the international event and congress market, for which reason it will keep working along these lines to host further high-level meetings.
