A total of 8.300 cardiology experts visit Seville to attend these two major conferences held at FIBES.
From 2-5 December 2015, FIBES, Conference and Exhibition Centre of Seville, is hosting the EuroEcho-Imaging 2015 Congress 2015, organized by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and the European Association on Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), with 3,500 specialists related to this discipline.
EuroEcho-Imaging 2015 is the annual congress that the EACVI organizes on behalf of its members from around the world with an interest in all forms of cardiovascular imaging.
The EACVI’s mission is to “promote excellence in the clinical diagnosis, research, technical development and education in cardiovascular imaging in Europe.” Over the years, EuroEcho-Imaging 2015 has consolidated its position as the top cardiovascular imaging congress in the world. The main themes of this year’s edition are cardiomyopathies and early diagnosis of cardiovascular disease.
The aim of EuroEcho-Imaging 2015 is the creation of an exciting forum, in which doctors and scientists can present and discuss the latest research and clinical findings in the wider spectrum of echocardiography along with other modalities of cardiovascular imaging. FIBES already hosted 23-26 May, Heart Failure 2015, another congress organized by the ESC, with an attendance of 4,800 specialists.
FIBES hosts EuroEcho-Imaging 2015
Seville has been chosen as the ideal city to host approximately 8,300 members of these European congresses held in May and now in December; a month, which – with the exception of the Immaculate Conception Bank Holiday and Christmas – is the low season in the tourism industry. So, events of this type are highly beneficial to Seville, having a very positive impact on sectors such as transport, hotels, commerce, hospitality, etc. In the case in hand, the two events have had an economic impact of €3.4 million for the city.
The uniqueness of this macro congress lies in the continuous flow of attendees who arrive gradually throughout the four days, the facilities of the new Congress and Exhibition Centre FIBES being fully occupied on this occasion. It is also worth pointing out the exceptional quality and design of the exhibition area, as well as the active poster area highlighting the latest developments and technology in the the field of echocardiography.
