Over 1,200 national and international experts in endocrinology and diabetes attended the congress held at the Seville Tradeshow and Congress Centre (FIBES) from 11-13 April.
From 11-13 April, Seville hosted the 24th Congress of Spanish Diabetes Society (SED), which was attended by over 1,200 health professionals caring for patients with diabetes (endocrinologists, educators, general practitioners, internists, cardiologists, nephrologists, nurses, and other health workers) and basic researchers.
During the three-day congress, renowned national international experts addressed several issues related to neurodegenerative disease and diabetes, immunointervention in type-1 diabetes mellitus, the connection or coexistence between diabetes, obesity and cancer, as well as strategies geared to involving patients with diabetes in their own treatment.
