The congress, to be held in FIBES' new facilities, will be attended by between 1,500-1,700 specialists and 50 companies.
On 8 November, the Exhibition and Congress Centre of Seville (FIBES) was chosen by the Spanish Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Pathology (SEORL-PCF) as the venue for the 65th edition of its national congress, which will be held in 2014.
The choice of venue was made during the 61st National Congress of SEORL-PCF in Valencia, which was attended by representatives of FIBES with the aim of supporting the candidacy's leader Dr Serafin Sanchez, head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the “Virgen Macarena” University Hospital en Seville, and member of the Seville chapter of the Andalusian Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Pathology (SORLA).
During the congress, the members of SEORL-PCF were duly informed about FIBES' candidacy before requesting their vote. Representatives of the Convention Bureau of Seville were also present during the first few days of the congress to support the centre's candidacy.
The National Congress of SEORL-PCF is held on a yearly basis, on odd years in Madrid and on even years in a destination chosen by ballot among the society's members.
FIBES' new facilities, in addition to its new cutting-edge auditorium, will be hosting this important congress. With attendance figures in the region of 1,500-1,700 otorhinolaryngologists, the congress will also have an exhibition area where approximately 50 companies will showcase their products and services.
