The estimated economic impact of the congress, due to start this coming Sunday, will be in the region of €5 million for the city of Valencia.
Organized by the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), the European Blood and Marrow Transplantation Congress will be held at Feria Valencia from 3-6 April with the attendance of over 4,500 international delegates, including practitioners, nurses, scientists and researchers.
Starting this coming Sunday, the Event Centre and Hall 5 of Feria Valencia will host the EBMT. The congress will require the use of 30 meeting rooms, a 2,500sqm poster exhibition area, and a 4,000sqm show floor.
With an estimated economic impact for the city of €5 million, the congress will include networking activities “that allow our delegates to feel a part of EBMT, engage with colleagues, discover Valencia and experience Spanish culture,” according to the organizers. Activities will feature a 2km “Walk for Life” along the old course of the River Turia, a concert, and a culinary tasting at the emblematic Carmen Museum.
