From 4-8 December, the Malaga Tradeshow and Congress Centre (FYCMA) will be hosting Expo Hispa-Maroc, with a large number of exhibitors from Morocco’s chief cities showcasing all types of typical products.

With the 6th edition of Expo Hispa-Maroc, FYCMA will be transformed once again into a medina where visitors will be able to discover Morocco and its handicrafts in a colourful exhibition area with exhibitors from all over the country.

With attendance figures in the region of 20,000 visitors last year, this event is regarded as a yardstick for the Andalusian and Moroccan handicraft industries. Exhibitors from cities such as Tangiers, Tetouan, Rabat, Fes, Meknes, Casablanca and Marrakech, among others, will be showcasing their handicrafts at the event, which this year will also include the tourist and real estate industries.

Among the products exhibited in the medina, there will be decorative objects, spices, sweetmeats, clothes and complements, the majority of which are handmade. The sectors represented at the show include leather goods, carpets, decoration, imitation jewellery, real estate, minerals, wrought iron, textiles, sports, and transport, among others.

In addition, the event will also have a cafeteria serving mint tea and Moroccan sweetmeats made from almonds and honey. Likewise, visitors will be able to savour the country’s typical dishes, including pastela and couscous. Several of exhibitors will also be offering visitors henna tattooing.

During the five-day event, there will also be a programme of activities and shows for the general public.

Expo Hispa-Maroc will be open from 4-8 December, from 11am-9pm. Entrance tickets cost €3, with free admission for children aged under 12.
