The team representing Spain, formed by staff members of the corporate event agency, came in 5th place. Bossaball is a fun sport combining capoeira, beach volleyball and beach football.

Invented by the Belgian Filip Eyckmans between 2003 and 2005, Bossaball is a ball game in which two teams compete against each other on an inflatable court with round trampolines for spiking.

Separated by a net, as in volleyball, the teams use beach football, beach volleyball, gymnastic, and capoeira techniques to score points and win, to the rhythm of music played by a DJ.

This year, Exploramas put together a team to represent Spain at the European Bossaball Championship held in Cadzand (Holland) from 1-3 August, clinching 5th place.

"We are strongly committed to this sport and have specialized in it because we believe that it has a promising future," explained Manuel Araujo, CEO of Exploramas.

Bossaball is an ideal experience for corporate events, since it can be held indoors or outdoors and the inflatable court only takes 45 minutes to set up. "It’s a fun, healthy sport that helps to reinforce team spirit, features music to encourage players, and can be practised on the beach, in hotel gardens or at indoor venues," continued Araujo.

Exploramas organizes bossaball experiences for its clientes. "We offer bossaball on its own, including coaching, training and competition experiences; in addition to bossaball combined with volleyball, indoor football or other beach games included in our famous Mediterranean Challenge," concluded Araujo.

With offices in Malaga and Barcelona, Exploramas is a corporate event company with over 14 years of experience in the business, specializing in thinking up, designing and organizing incentives, team-building programmes, adventure activities and CSR initiatives.
