Exploramas’ Project Commitment

Two years ago, the Mijas-based event organization agency Exploramas launched Project Commitment, a very ambitious initiative keyed to improving the natural and social environments of the areas where the company operates. Since then, a large number of actions have been carried out, such as reforestation, river cleaning, rubbish collection on beaches, environmental awareness initiatives geared to children, charity work, etc.

Exploramas is pleased to announce the recent signing of a new agreement with Bancosol, the Costa del Sol food bank. Thanks to this agreement, all the events organized by the company will now include a social responsibility initiative, thus giving the participants the chance to swap points obtained in different challenges for food parcels.

These parcels, comprising a large number of foodstuffs, will then be shared out among Malaga families suffering the rigours of the current economic crisis and that do not receive any subsidies to help them feed their members. Each one of these parcels can feed a family of four for at least 15-20 days. If the participants make a concerted effort, they will be able to obtain more than 30 parcels during one event.

With this type of initiative there are benefits and beneficiaries. On the one hand, the families receiving the parcels and, on the other, the participants who, in addition to thoroughly enjoying themselves, obtain an emotional reward from supporting such a noble cause and feeling a part of it.

Maybe it is only a drop, but as the song goes, drop after drop are waves that make oceans.
