In the framework of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme "Commitment", the corporate event and adventure firm has recently cleaned the river where it passes through Benahavis using its own resources.
Several members of Exploramas’ team cleaned the Guadalmina, removing refuse from its waters where the river passes through Benahavis.
"It’s a very necessary task which we carry out several times a year in the areas where we organize our activities," said Manuel Araujo, CEO of Exploramas, before indicating that these types of actions form a part of the firm’s commitment with the natural environment.
Canyoning, water trekking and adventure programmes are just some of the experiences that Exploramas organizes for companies and groups on the River Guadalmina.
"For us, these initiatives are a way of protecting the value that the environment contributes to our experiences," explained Araujo, who also emphasized the company’s endeavours to minimize the environmental impact of its activities. "During each event, we put the accent on selected waste collection, and recycling now forms a part of many of our processes."
The company’s "Compromiso" project is a CSR programme revolving around three core activities:
- EducadaMente: environmental education (awareness programmes for schools).
- Corporativamente: CSR initiatives incorporated in the activities and experiences that it organizes.
- NaturalMente: initiatives that Exploramas implements with its own resources (reforesting, cleaning streams, protecting the natural surroundings, dissemination, etc.).
A Spanish company with over 13 years of experience in the business, Exploramas specializes in creating, designing and organizing corporate team-building, adventure and CSR activities.
