From 24-27 May 2016, Burgos hosted the 6th Euro-American REHABEND, an event attended by over 300 professionals from more than 33 countries specializing in construction and renovation, in which Burgos and Spain are global benchmarks as regards urban renewal and energy efficiency initiatives.
Under the slogan “Pathology of Construction, Restoration Technology and Heritage Management”, the congress revolves around five lines of work related to the renovation process of building: the prior studies, the intervention project, the execution of the project, maintenance and the project’s dissemination.
The city of Burgos and the renovation initiatives it has carried out to date, especially in its historical centre, were used as successful case studies.
Held at the magnificent facilities of the Hospital del Rey, the congress had 315 speakers from 22 countries.
According to the city’s convention bureau, the congress is yet another example of the successful promotion of the city as a meeting destination.
