The main functions, conference and gala dinner were held at two of the French capital’s special venues.

As in previous years, Oriflame commissioned Eventisimo to design and produce its annual conference. The Oriflame Gold Conference is the largest event that the Swiss cosmetics multinational organizes each year. The 2013 edition was held in Paris for over 2,200 delegates, who had the chance to enjoy the attractions of the city on the Seine and a full agenda of activities.

The event featured two main functions: the welcome conference, held at the Palais des Sports on 16 August; and the gala dinner, which took place at the imposing Grand Palais, a steel and glass building erected in 1900 and located in the Champs-Elysées, on the 19th.

Eventisimo handled exclusively the technical production of both events at its facilities in Spain, before transporting everything to Paris in a dozen lorries. The artistic production and staging was also handled exclusively by the Spanish firm’s team.

The "Welcome Rally," held at the Palais des Sports, featured a six-hour live show punctuated by a number of presentations, award ceremonies and professional conferences. For the opening ceremony a spectacular aerial show was staged, preceded by a representation of the most outstanding personalities in French history, all of whom welcomed the delegates. Afterwards, there were a number of large-scale dance numbers, French mime performances, the star appearance of the Olympic champion ice skater Tatiana Navka, and a closing show that encouraged the audience to attend the 2014 Gold Conference.

This full entertainment programme was performed on a stage especially built for the occasion, which included 150sqm of LED screens, 90,000W of lighting, a 40,000W sound system, and a 75sqm central screen.

During the gala dinner held at the Grand Palais, the delegates were treated to a show covering all the major contributions made by Paris to 19th and 20th art and culture. This was followed by an authentic can-can performance, a number of cabarets inspired by the famous Moulin Rouge, a Cirque du Soleil-style acrobatic trampoline act, a dream-like aerial performance using helium balloons, and a show recapping the history of fashion, featuring the city of Paris. The gala dinner concluded with a dance performance inspired by the Lido de Paris, thus bringing to a close the convention with an evening full of spectacular entertainment and music.

The stage used at the gala dinner was designed as as to adapt to the characteristics of the Grand Palais, being installed in the space between this historical venue’s two sweeping staircases leading to the upper gallery. The 400sqm structure was totally covered with red carpeting and had two walkways enveloping the tables located in the VIP area. A 20x16m screen, flanked by two 6x4m LED screens, served as a backdrop, while 142 tables were placed in the central nave, where the majority of the 2,200 participants were served dinner.
