Las Ventas Bullring (Madrid) was the venue chosen for the presentation of the new Varilux X Series lens by Essilor, the world’s leading lens manufacturer. The event, which was fully organized by Eventisimo, took place on 1 April.



Under the slogan ‘The lens that will transform the vision of a generation’, Varilux X Series is aimed at Gen X, characterized by young people whose vision is within their reach.



Revolving around this idea, Eventisimo developed the event’s creative concept, which allowed it to engage opinion leaders and the target audience with ad hoc messages.



Varilux’s most important launch in 2017 was attended by 1200 guests, including opticians, specialized media and the presidents of the Spain’s official opticians and optometrists colleges.



Eventisimo handled the production of a video mapping, as well as using a specific augmented reality to develop content during the presentation, which took place in a transparent marquee that occupied the whole of the Madrid bullring.



Presented by the Spanish actor and comedian Alex O’Dogherty, the event included a number of spectacular moments. One of these occurred when a drone flying over the bullring offered a series blurred images. After the presenter had fitted it with a Varilux X Series lens, the drone then transmitted perfect images of the venue.



Eventisimo fully handled the organization and coordination of this event, including technical and audiovisual production, stage design, lighting, logistics, and catering, a service provided by Cristina Oria, as well as engaging the presenter.



The event also featured a variety of musical entertainment, ranging from a private concert performed by Loquillo to a DJ session, through a performance by Toom-pak.



In order to position the new product in the market, Eventisimo has organized a showroom in 17 Spanish cities.
