Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the AEA, the event took place at the Royal Theatre on 29 October.
Eventisimo was the agency commissioned to design and organize the gala ceremony of the Business Communication “Eficacia” Awards for the third year running. The Spanish Advertisers’ Association (AEA) and SCOPEN, the organizers of the events, yet again entrusted the agency with the design of the creative concept, staging and technical and artistic production.
Jesús Vázquez yet again presented the gala, where a total of 37 awards were handed out. Ikea’s Christmas campaign, designed by McCann and MRM McCann picked up the top award.
The past edition of the event was very special as it marked the 50th anniversary of the AEA, which called for an equally special venue: the Royal Theatre of Madrid. For this new venue, the agency’s team designed a staging concept inspired by the film industry, both spectacular and elegant so as not to clash with the noble surroundings.
Eventisimo also handled the event’s staging and technical management. Besides the awards ceremony, there were the interventions of the four sponsors and two main acts: Dani Martin and the mezzo soprano Nancy Fabiola Herrera. The former performed the song of Mahou’s ad campaign, which won the brand track record award, as well as a song from his last album. For her part, the Canaries mezzo soprano performed two famous arias, a gift of the AEA to those present on occasion of its 50th anniversary.

After the awards ceremony, a cocktail party was held in the function rooms located on the opera house’s second floor, all themed and lit ad-hoc for each sponsor. The food and refreshments were provided by the Life Gourmet catering firm of the two-star Michelin chef Ramon Freixa.
