Held at several venues in Bilbao, the event included a convention, a team-building activity and a gala dinner.
On the occasion of the presentation of its new strategic plan and annual sales convention, the Orangina Schweppes Group staged an event geared to emphasizing the advantages of teamwork and boosting the confidence of the company’s sales team so as to encourage them to meet new objectives.
Under the slogan, "You Cook Change," the event – including a convention, a team-building activity, and a gala dinner – was held in Bilbao.
The stage design for the convention, held at the Euskalduna Congress Centre, featured 4,000 bottles of Schweppes Tonic and La Casera stacked on shelves and lit from behind by LED screens. In addition to being visually spectacular, the design was completely sustainable: structures made of recycled wood, energy-saving LEDs, and bottles that, after the convention, were still fit for consumption.
The comedian Leo Harlem presented the event, while the prestigious chef Pedro Subijana showed the guests how to prepare Tonic on a plate, one of his most famous dishes, in collaboration with the keynote speakers, each of whom supplied him with one of the ingredients. And entertainment was supplied by a number of Spanish bands preforming live during the event.
For the team-building activity, the group of 300 guests was divided into different teams. Each team was assigned a bus, a video camera, a road book, a culinary product typical of the area, and costumes. Using all these articles, the teams had to film and edit a TV spot featuring the product assigned to them. The three most creative and amusing videos received a prize during the gala dinner.
The gala dinner was held at the Teatro Campos Eliseos. In addition to the participation of Leo Harlem, the audience was treated to a tailor-made musical – "The Musical of the Musicals" – starring Daniel Diges, accompanied by 16 singers and dancers. To round off the evening, a making-of of all the videos filmed during the team building activity was screened, together with the full version of the three winning videos.

In short, it was an all-round event that served both to inform and motivate Orangina Schweppes’ sales network.
