Eventisimo handles full organization of Oriflame CIS Gold Conference in Valencia

On having chosen a Spanish destination, the Swedish multinational commissioned Eventisimo to handle both production and logistics.



Once again, Eventisimo was commissioned to produce Oriflame’s CIS Gold Conference, which this year was held in Valencia. The Swedish cosmetics multinational also commissioned the agency to handle the logistics of its largest annual event.



Held from 25-30 August, the convention was attended by 1.500 people from over 35 countries, who stayed at seven of the city’s hotels, all close to the City of Arts and Sciences, with the aim of reducing transfers to a minimum.



The event’s full programme got under way with a welcome dinner in Turia Gardens. For the occasion, Eventisimo created an authentic "April Fair" covering over 5.000sqm, with a scale model of the entrance of Seville’s April Fair made of wood and decorated with hundreds of light bulbs. Once inside, the participants discovered the typical "casetas" and four stages where different performances were given. It was important that the entertainment was authentic and varied. To this end, there were flamenco groups, Rocio choirs and several Spanish dance companies. The participants also had the opportunity to take part in a number of workshops, such as fan painting and a heel-tapping and castanet master class. But there was more to this first evening than just the décor and performances: the participants had the chance to savour the delicacies typically served at Andalusian fairs, without forgetting Valencia’s world-renowned paella; a number of horsemen offered rides to the participants; and the venue’s floor was even covered with the typical yellowish chalky sand used in bullrings.



Work began the following day. The Valencia Congress Centre, known as "Norman Foster", hosted the country meetings, at which the sales force was informed about the sales strategies for the coming year.



The business conference, the event’s main gathering, was held at the Palau de les Arts of the City of Arts and Sciences. Its modern stage, featuring a striking set with 16 giant screens combining LED and projection technology, was used for the keynote addresses and the award ceremony for the brand’s best salespeople.



As in previous events, there was also time for leisure combined with physical exercise. This so-called wellness activity took place at Turia Gradens and consisted in a zumba class.



The five-day event ended with a gala dinner, held by the lakes of the City of Arts and Sciences. This spectacular event featured a stage set above the South Lake, including water and light effects especially designed for the occasion. During the evening there were a number of performances with the sea as the leitmotif. The award for the best salesperson was given during the dinner, a moment that was designed to dazzle. Three paragliders appeared, with the name of the winner printed on the inside of their chutes, and sparks flying from their feet. And on the giant displays located in the lake there appeared the image of the winning salesperson.



In addition to the work sessions and dinners, the participants were treated to a series of complementary activities and sightseeing tours around Valencia.



The event needed a staff of 180 people, divided into two groups, one in charge of technical production and the other logistics.
