Eventisimo organized the 13th UNWTO Awards ceremony and gala dinner held in Madrid on the 16 and 18 January, respectively.
The event included a forum held at the Palacio de Neptuno to highlight the importance of innovation in tourism and showcase the knowledge and achievements of all UNWTO Awards finalists, which was attended by 250 guests. This was followed a couple of days later by the gala dinner and award ceremony acknowledging the best incentives in the industry, which took place in the north auditorium of IFEMA.
This very flexible venue was also used for the presentation of the 2017 International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, making the most of the fact that FITUR tourism show was being held at the same time at IFEMA.
With only four hours between both events, Eventisimo’s team had to change the venue’s layout from the theatre format for the international presentation to a gala dinner format for over 400 guests.
To this end, Eventisimo handled the full production of the event, including online registration, technical secretariat, event staff supervision, décor and staging, and audiovisual and video production for the live video streaming of the event, which included a connection with one of the award winners in Sidney.
Likewise, Eventisimo was one of the sponsors of the awards ceremony and the 2017 International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development (Diamond Sponsor).
