The EUSA University Campus will be launching MOCE, its revamped meeting, congress and event organization master programme, in October 2011. Its differentiating factor as regards other similar programmes is the professionalism of its teaching staff.

The aim of MOCE is to provide students with practical training as regards all the different aspects of the business tourism industry through the experience and knowledge of a teaching staff comprising several of the industry's most outstanding professionals from Spain and abroad. Likewise, MOCE, which has the support of the most relevant national and international associations, aims at providing participants with the knowledge and tools needed to tackle the day-to-say challenges arising in any company or institution related to this important industry.

Taking into account that the master programme has an eminently practical approach, EUSA has managed to engage high-profile lecturers, representing destinations, clients (associative, corporate and institutional), congress and exhibition centres, PCOs and hotel chains, in addition to experts in economy and innovation.

Lecturers include the following: André Vietor, chairman of the Training Academy of the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers; Juan Jose Garcia, senior vice-president and treasurer of the International Congress and Convention Association; Christoph Tessmar, congress manager of Sanofi Aventis Spain; Mirtcho Savov, COO of Viajes Iberia Congresos; Jorge Matias Guiu-Guia, vice-president of the Spanish Association of Neurology; Maria Fernandez, executive director of Meetings Industry Solutions Consulting; and Juan Pedro Ott, regional sales manager of Hotels & Resorts. These and other lecturers will undoubtedly contribute an enormous amount of value added to a high quality master programme. Their experience and professional vision make EUSA's MOCE a benchmark for all those who wish to acquire “global” insights into the business tourism industry.

Business tourism is the only growth segment that guarantees business all year round, with a high economic impact on destinations. The market and demand have changed immensely over the last few years, with the implementation of professional business models and strategic planning by event promoters and organizers. It is predicted that this trend will continue over the next few years, which will a see a change in the dynamism of destination promotion obliging all stakeholders to become more competitive than ever.

So as to improve competitiveness, it is essential to have highly qualified professionals that can meet the specific needs of this industry and all its stakeholders. The growth of the meetings and event industry has come hand in hand with a significant rise in the demand for professionals familiarized with all its ins and outs.

Along these lines, the master programme has been redesigned so as to meet the growing demand for professionals, with not only an academic grounding but also a high level of practical training, by the institutions and private companies in the business tourism industry.
