This year, the Tea & Coffee World Cup Exhibition and Symposiums will be held at Seville's FIBES Exhibition and Convention Centre on June 7-9, 2009. The 2009 Tea & Coffee World Cup Exhibition Seville is a three-day comprehensive marketplace for tea and coffee products and ideas. The exhibition will host more than 150 exhibitors from every sector, including services, supplies, machinery equipment, roasters, packers, and tea/coffee traders to retail outlets, hotel chains and more.
There will also be a two-day tea and coffee symposium highlighting some of today’s most important topics and featuring the tea and coffee industry’s most notable professionals. For example, Per Sundmalm of East West Company, Spain’s largest tea retailer, will be giving an informative speech on local markets, and there will be a panel discussion on sustainability in the tea industry, with panelists from The Rainforest Alliance, Utz Certified and the Ethical Tea Partnership. Francisco Jurado, formerly with Nestle Europe, will impart his knowledge on the global green coffee market, and symposium attendees will learn the fundamentals of espresso roasting, brewing, preparation, blending and serving from Manel Batet, a member of the Forum Cultural del Café.
Tea & Coffee World Cup Seville has the full support of both the Spanish Coffee Federation and the Forum Cultural del Café, made up essentially of roasters and green coffee companies, and “out of home” companies/shops, bars, and cafes, respectively. The Spanish Coffee Federation will be hosting their annual congress at Tea and Coffee World Cup, as well as speaking at the coffee symposium. The Café Forum, which holds all the barista tournaments in Spain, will be presenting the Andalucía Barista Championship right on the exhibition show floor and will also be speaking at the coffee symposium.
Besides its informative symposiums, exciting Barista Championship and an impressive exhibition, the World Cup aims to keep visitors and exhibitors alike entertained with multiple interactive demonstrations and workshops, social events and networking opportunities. Tea & Coffee World Cup Seville will provide coffee cupping and tea tastings workshops.
The exhibition will be open on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 from 10am-6pm, and on Tuesday 9 from 10am-5pm.
Pre-register online to attend the exhibition, workshops, and symposiums. Entry to the exhibition is free for all industry and allied-industry members.
