The 5th Esteve Symposium on Analgesia was held at Cibeles Palace (Madrid), with the participation of Sono as audiovisual partner. The A/V firm provided a number of services including equipment hire and installation, in addition to staging and technical assistance during the two-day event at Cibeles Palace and the dinner at Neptune Palace on the first evening.
In the hospitality area, where the participants were welcomed, Sono installed a 2x2 videowall comprising 55" displays with ultra-thin frames and a tactile totem with a 46" vertical display that allowed the participants to interactively browse the programme and additional information about the event.
Inside the auditorium, the stage featured a 24sqm (8x3m) Absen A3 Pro LED display used in the different presentations. This display has a pixel distance of only 3.9mm and therefore offers an optimum resolution and image definition, even close up.
Sono used a Folsom control system to manage the different signals (video, presentation, retransmission, etc.), which were transmitted to the stage’s LED display and main monitors, so as to allow the speakers to keep track of content.
Sono also installed its new L-Acoustics Kiva sound system in the auditorium. This system included two lectern microphones, eight wireless headsets and a handheld microphone for Q&A sessions.
With a full agenda, including conferences and roundtable discussions, the symposium, which focused on lower back pain and its treatment, was attended by 300 practitioners from healthcare centres throughout Spain.
On the first night, a welcome dinner was held at Neptune Palace. The venue’s own lighting was reinforced by wireless LED projectors and bars, and the lateral walls were used to screen an animated version of Esteve’s logo identified with its line of therapeutic research into analgesia.
