On 19 September, the second edition of the "Long Night" was held in the city of Seville. The city’s main museums, art galleries and exhibition halls remained open to the public throughout the night, offering a complementary programme of music, dance and theatre.

For the second year running, Es.cultura (Eventos+Comunicación) provided its theatre and entertainment services for events and cultural venues. While last year the company provided a much-applauded entertainment programme for La Logia Museum, in the square of San Francisco, this year it was commissioned to do the same at the Fine Arts Museum, giving life to the characters portrayed in the works of art and interacting with the public.

Visitors to the country’s second most important gallery were given the opportunity to meet the patroness of the city, Santa Justa, in the flesh, as well as Jorge Miguel, El Greco’s son, a page from the painting St. Hugo of Grenoble in the Carthusian Refectory, by Zubaran, and a cigarrera, painted by Gonzalo Bilbao.

Es.cultura’s entertainment programme attracted a large number of visitors, making the Fine Arts Museum one of the most popular venues during the night.
