El Regulador – French Magic in Barcelona Ramblas

The Hotel Bagues' bistro El Regulador bases its select menu on two main elements: the French influence and top-quality produce from the Boqueria market.

Housed in Bagues-Masriera's jewellery-workshop, the restaurant El Regulador of the recently opened Hotel Bagues – the first bijou hotel in Spain – has the vocation and spirit of a bistro adapted to the concept of a unique hotel combining culture and art in one the city's most beautiful heritage buildings. The bistro El Regulador is a valuable addition to the Barcelona's culinary offering, serving high-quality cuisine in an exquisite ambience and unique setting, in the heart of the Ramblas.

The bistro El Regulador's cuisine stands out for its simple but carefully prepared dishes, a product of the direct involvement of the Derby Hotels Collection's team in the design of the menu and even in recipe creation. This very exclusive bistro bases its select menu on two main elements: the French influence and top-quality produce from the Boqueria market, with the best meat, fish, vegetables and fruit available in Barcelona. George Pierre, one of the Derby Hotels Collection's in-house chefs, has supervised the opening of the restaurant, with Raul Sanchez as head chef in charge of its daily running.

Steamed seafood, following the French tradition so as to better conserve its properties and bring out the flavours, is one of the menu's main elements. Besides seafood – including oysters from Galicia, France and Japan – creative market cuisine is the other main pillar of the menu. With local, seasonal produce, the chef innovates on traditional dishes introducing a modern touch.

Open all week from 7am-1am, the bistro El Regulador has a seating capacity of 35 people and space for 70 in cocktail format.
