Eikonos is a dab hand at sports events, since the company loves participating in those that characterize sports’ purest values. For this reason, it is proud to have collaborated, for the second year running, in the Water Polo Final Six Barcelona 2015, which took place in the Catalan capital last week.
During the three-day competition, Eikonos supplied A/V service with its Ledman 6mm LED displays, installed in different parts of the Bernat Picornell swimming pool complex, where the event was held. One was used as scoreboard, where the each team’s goals where displayed, in addition to information about players. Another, the one with the greatest number of LED modules, was used to broadcast the action live using Teledeporte’s signal.
Eikonos also supplied another four screens, each with two modules, which were used as possession markers located at the four corners of the swimming pool. The company also installed a screen for ad spots and sponsors, located on one of the sides of the swimming pool. The Watchout system was used to control the signals of the different screens, an infallible tool when a high level of coordination and teamwork is required so as to obtain optimum results. Eikonos also handled the design and control of the scoreboard, in collaboration with Ventuz and with the invaluable technical support of Gaudium Sports, an agency specializing in sports events.
Both the organizers CNAB and Eikonos were very pleased with the results. The spectators could enjoy watching world-class water polo, with A/V equipment that further enhanced the quality of the competition.
