Only a week after the delivery of the Christie Boxer 4K30 projectors, the firm had the opportunity to use them at the Barcelona FC Fan Club Congress held at the Catalonia Congress Centre.
These projectors incorporate state-of-the-art technology, offering a series of advantages absent in those that Eikonos has used to date, as well as high-impact staging.
These new projectors provide information in a simple manner via their integrated displays or the Christie Connect app that incorporates NFC wireless technology for transmitting data in real time regarding voltage, lamp hours, lamp serial numbers and warnings.
The projectors are characterized by being more efficient since they are the smallest and lightest (68kg) on the market, all of which reduces shipping and handling costs. In addition, the projectors have a greater native resolution (4096x2160 pixels), a longer lamp life (1,500 hours), a lower noise level (54dB(A)) and a high colour resolution. Lastly, on having six xenon lamps, if one burns out during a screening this will pass unnoticed.
All this, together with an alpha video presentation, integrating the screen image with a different background, offers a unique visual experience like that which the public enjoyed at the congress. This was possible thanks to the use of the Watchout system that allowed the firm to broadcast live the content of the speakers’ presentations and their keynotes (in Catalan and Spanish) on two 16x9 screens, with an HD image.
Eikonos was congratulated by the new board of directors of Barcelona FC and its client Events. The projectors performed excellently allowing the public to make the most of the 2015 edition of the fan club congress. Eikonos is keen to use the Christie Boxer projectors at future events, because the it is delighted with their performance.
