After the sound success of previous events, once again Stretch entrusted Eikonos with the audiovisual services for the gala dinner and award ceremony of one of the British company’s clients, held last May in Barcelona.
Stretch is an agency that distinguishes itself for its original concepts and wide deployment of resources. The agency’s aim was to ensure that all the attendees – including nearly 300 from the United Kingdom – experienced something special, leaving them with an unforgettable memory of a great event.
So as to set the right for the event, the venue chosen for the occasion was Barcelona Zoo’s Dama del Paraguas marquee. Eikonos completely transformed the venue, sheathing the interior with a curtain of Martin 40 LC LED panels, covering an area of 10x5m – suspended from a Prolyte truss and two Gennies – which served as a frame for a 24 LED module Lighthouse R6 screen.

The lighting of the rest of the venue – also handled by Eikonos – served to create different ambiences adapted to each phase of the event. The event was also filmed and projected live with the Folsom system, as well as video footage edited the same day by Eikonos’ post-production team.
The wooden walls of the marquee were coloured using 40 Pixelines 1044 and Gobos. Both the stage and the auditorium were lit with a large number of PCs, ETCs, Vari-Lite 3000s, and MAC 550s, depending on moment during the award ceremony and entertainment programme.

Thanks to the line array VRX sound system, the presentations and the live music companying the gala dinner were fully appreciated by all the attendees. But Eikonos’ technical prowess was clearly seen when the venue was transformed into a discotheque, complete with a DJ, with sound and visual effects.
Eikonos’ team of technicians – video, sound, lighting, decoration and post-production – was crucial for the success of this important event.
